Valentino Rossi Biography
Sport News 197-Valentino Rossi was born in Urbino, Italy on February 16, 1979. Valentino Rossi grew in a family of motor racing lovers. His father is a racer 70s, Graziano Rossi, has begun to teach Rossi to drive a motorcycle since childhood.
He started his career as a motorcycle rider since the age of 13 years by winning various regional championships. Brilliant talent made him enter the Italian Sport Production Championship 1994. Rossi then managed to follow the European Championship 1995 in the 125 cc class and finish in third.
Rossi his debut at the world championships through the Malaysia Grand Prix 1996. At that time he managed to finish in 9th position with riding an Aprilia. Not long after he managed to be number 1 in the Grand Prix Brno Czech Republic and was awarded the youngest rider to the 125 cc class. Furthermore, Rossi managed to climb to the 250 cc class and pocketed the 9 wins.
Rossi's career skyrocketed when he decided to leave Aprilia and Honda's switch to the 500cc class in 2000. Even the world champion Mick Doohan and head technician, Jeremy Burgess, happy to be a mentor Rossi for his first year at Honda. He then managed to become 2001 world champion 500 cc class. Rossi then up to the MotoGP class and became world champion in 2002 and 2003 with Honda.
The Doctor then made a surprising decision for lovers of MotoGP ahead of the 2004 season he left the Honda team and switched to Yamaha. His move to Yamaha certainly made many people deplore. Public pessimistic he can be world champion again considering the achievements of the current Yamaha was not too good.
But Rossi silencing all the negative comments. He managed to finish in first place Grand Prix of South Africa beat the strongest contender Max Biaggi, who was driving a Honda. Rossi even managed to lift the Yamaha name with consecutive victories during the 2004 season and 2005.
Inter Milan fans should experience defeat in the 2006 season after finishing in second behind Nicky Hayden. Yet he continued to carve various victories in the next championship. The climax he bagged 100 victory in the Dutch TT in 2009 throughout his career.
Hobby racers who maintain these dogs back into the public spotlight when he decided to leave Yamaha and move to Ducati. But he did not play brilliantly in the 2011-2012 season due to several factors such as accidents. He fell in the championship Valencia after being hit by Alvaro Bautista and had to settle for seventh position world.
Rossi eventually returned to the Yamaha team next season. He then won the first prize at the Grand Prix of Assen after beating Dani Pedrosa, in June 2013.
Rossi was again shocked the public in late 2013. Suddenly he announced split with the head technician, Jeremy Burgess, who has been with him for 13 years. Some media believe that Rossi was offended by the words of the previous Burgess stated that he would never win again.
"He will not win again, would be a miracle if he wins," Burgess said in an earlier interview. "When you're younger there are some things that his name courage or the guts to take risks and it slowly disappears as we grow older."
Rossi then raised Silvano Galbusera as head of the new technicians replace Burgess. "I met with Silvano in 2010 while practicing with R1 Superbike at Misano," said Rossi. "I have a good relationship with him, I think he is the right person."
